The EMA® - 2 snoring and OSA appliance offers
adjustable vertical dimension (bite pads) and a wide range of mandibular
advancement (straps). Bite pads are available in eight sizes with a
.75mm thickness difference in vertical dimension ranging from 10 to 15.25
mm. Bite pads are available in hard and soft material for greater
patient comfort and are easily changeable chairside. Nine different
length straps advance mandible in 2 mm increments ranging from 2 to 18 mm.
Straps are available in four durometers (firmness) to match individual
patient's musculature. Every patient will not use all available bite
pads or straps, but a wide range of sizes is need to fit the appliance to the
patient -- not the patient to the appliance.
